If you cannot display the document, then how do you conclude that you cannot see the vendor line item.
Was the document posted at all?

There is a Vendor Line item missing in SAP, posting date was 07.08.2012.
We have a document reference number and all the relevant details, I checked all the open/close and cleared Vendor Line Items but no luck.
