Question from sapnomad on Jun 2 at 1:14 PM
I have some materials on VV and PD. We are using a non-SAP production planning system, and I'd like to drop in the next 3 days of 'production/customer orders' into Demand Management, such that MRP will plan against that demand for 3 days and then the VV/PD demand will take over. For the PP demand, I'm thinking of using something simple like a customer requirement. I understand that I can have the customer requirement consume the planned independent requirement (LSF) for the first 3 days. My questions:

1) If day 1 customer requirement is 10 and PIR is 15, I want day 1 to be based on customer requirement 10. Is that how it works per standard? In other words, given the actual demand from production (customer requirement) vs marketing forecast (LSF), I want production to be the only that MRP considers

2) What MRP type and planning group should I use for above?

3) What about combination of customer requirement and consumption based forecast...does it work equally same and what MRP type and planning group to use?

Thanks,
Vlad
