Reply from Nikki Klein on May 12 at 11:26 AM Hi Regarding your second question: I'd look into using Department as a possible identifier for FS, ML and SH. It is a free form field though, so it is open to fatfinger errors! Another option is to configure your own Cost Center Categories, and then use those. Nikki

The required digits for cost_centers is 4 (currently the company having 300 branches but to be in safe side, I think better to use 4 digits if in the future enlarge) now, each branch is located in different region each region having sub region also the requirement here is to have P/L per branch / per region / per sub region So, if I create parent codes for regional areas then child code (parent) for sub region then the branches will be assigned to sub_region node Here, is it necessary to add to each number for each cost center, region code & sub region code? For example branch number 5 will be under sub_region 03 which under region 02 Here, I can code the cost center for branch number 5 as the following 02030005 each 1st 2 digits on the left "02" refer to main region 02 each 2nd 2 digits on the left "03" refer to sub region 03 each 4 digits from the right side "0005" to refer to branch number But here, I worry about timing issue of transactions, user will always have to type 8 digits or, it is not necessary to add regional & sub regional code, just branch code "0005" as it is already mentioned under its sub region node? | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
