This error occurs when an account is created, it should be classified based
on item category defined in SAP.
It is where New GL is active, and in the configuration steps you need to do
so.
Steps are:
1. Define ledger general ledger accounting
2. Define currency for leading ledger
3. Define and activate non-leading ledger
4. Assign scenarios and customer fields to ledger
5. Activate document splitting
6. Classify GL accounts for document splitting
The 6 steps where you classify gl account based on item category defined in
the system.
E.g. if Item Category
- Balance sheet account
- Zero balance posting
- Company code clearing
- Cash discount clearing
- Customer
- Customer special gl transaction, etc
So category this gl based on item category, your problem will be solved.
