They can be created as comfortable as one can.
Even after the system goes live, the steps are not difficult to create new
cost center/s

I have no problem about weather to use A.B & C for grouping level or not.
The problem is my consultant saying he want to to sequential numbering all cost centers regardless business code number as I mentioned above
A-001
A-002
A-003
and so on, where A-002 in his method it may refer to business code number 5.
I want to explain again from starting
the business codes numbered manually sequential regardless region area like this way
business_code regional_area
1 A
2 A
3 B
4 C
5 A
6 B
7 C
the consultant wants to number it like this
region A
business_code regional_area suggested
1 A A-001
2 A A-002
5 A A-003
3 B B-001
6 B B-002
4 C C-001
7 C C-002
while I want to use it like this
business_code regional_area suggested
1 A A-001
2 A A-002
5 A A-005
3 B B-003
6 B B-006
4 C C-004
7 C C-007
the consultant told me yesterday :
" , that if i go like this way , and after go live , i will face a big trouble every time when i want to create new cost center , it require too much steps of configuration which i can't;t do it my self and it require a paid consulting to do it every time , while he now do the setting to be automatically configured as sequential numbering , and he asked me to sign a proof that this coding will be under my responsibility if i selected it " end .
So, what is your opinion? Is it really required that long & complex steps of configuration & allocations? |
