You don't need a lot of bandwidth for remote access. I assume that you will use a VPN solution when accessing the server over the Internet, so the things that you need to take in consideration are :
- the overhead created by the VPN client
- the memory available on the firewall server that protects the network where the SAP server is located, and the number of VPN concomitant connections
- the network traffic processed by the end firewall.
Have the network administrators involved in the process.
