Reply from TerryB on Jan 9 at 12:34 PM Seems to me this is something that should be handled in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event, not the AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT event. You have to give the user a chance to fill out the whole selection screen before you can make a determination if the requirements have been met. If you put this kind of code in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT event it will throw an error message before the first display of the selection screen!

Hi Friends,
i am an ABAP developer,
i have requirement that in selection screen i have four fields like
field1(parameter),
field2(select option)
field3(select option)
field4(select option)
and my requirement is i want to make field2 mandate if field 3 or field 4 were not supplied and simillarly i want make field3 mandate if field2 or field 4 were not supplied.
i.e.,
Field 1 (parameter ) - Required ( we can achieve this by keeping obligatory)
Field 2 (select option) – Required / Optional if 3 or 4 supplied
Field 3 – ( select option )Required / Optional if 2 or 4 supplied
Field 4 ( select option ) – Optional
please help how to write the logic to achieve this requirement.
