Now the actual requirement is .. whenever a particular BOM changes.. an email will go to higher authority, he will approve those changes & then that BOM changes should take place.. Is it possible??. If yes please suggest how?

You really helped me a lot by giving directling..
My workflow is getting triggered now.
Purpose was that whenever BOM (bill of material) gets changed a user should get email in his inbox..
Now I will check the complete procedure.. but yes after calling FM via. User exit my WF is triggered..
