Question from Felipe Uribe on Nov 19 at 11:13 PM Hello everyone, We are implementing ESS and Workflow. Before start using the ESS, we were using the ERP to approve the Time Sheet in which the system let us set just one unique task to approve it (TS31000007 - CATS: Approval by Supervisor), so when we started using ESS, the requirement from the client changed and now the approval needs to control the time to finish the task and model the LASTED-END. The things is that an extended flow model can't be done using just the task TS31000007. That's why I need to use a Workflow for that, I even have to include more steps in that approval. I know that there's a Workflow (WS40001001 - CATS: Approval using workflow) to handle this approval process, so I activated this WF as a General Task and the internal task (Dialog), but the fact is I that this WF have to be set in some place in SPRO or the system need to have the instruction to use this WF because there's no triggering event to start it. My question is if some of you guys could give me a hint (detail appreciate) to set this to be able to work with this WF. I know this is more functional than technical but the HCM consultant is finding out so far the way to use this Workflow (a copy of that because I need to change a little bit the flow) PD: I set the agents in the WF heather and activate the internal task (TS40007901- CATS: Approval) for the approval. - I did find a documentation in which says "The workflow for issuing approvals is a single-step workflow. For technical reasons, it cannot be extended to a multi-step task at present." ... Check the link below http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/64 /400b2b470211d189720000e8322d00/frameset.htm But I don't understand if there is this limitation, why SAP created the WS40001001, and how this WF is started? Thanks a lot. Felipe Uribe | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
