My suggestion is really help you to move forward then please mark as helpful on my post.
Also the purpose of normal scenario like from STO to GR is important to follow for cross company STOs. But for internal STOs i.e. within plant / SLOC which are " HU Managed in both the Warehouse then VLMOVE is more suitable & possible one.
Let me know your doubt has clarified..

I'm writing you to ask a suggestion about the optimization of a process.
My company has SAP release ECC6, HU management, in a logical and fiscal warehouse.
The process to optimize concern the transfer of material from a logical/fiscal warehouse with HU management, to another logical/fiscal warehouse with HU management.
This process is too complicated and laborious to manage.
Both the warehouse belong to the same plant.
The process that has been implemented is a 2 step picking, composed by these steps:
- PO for transfer order – ME21N
- Delivery – VL10B
- Group creation
- Transfer Order
- Confirmation of TO
- Packing
- Splitting Group
- Good Issue---? automatic inbound delivery creation, already packed
- Good-In registration
We do many transfer stocks in a day, warehouse are far 5 Km, and these procedure cause serious inefficiency problems.
What we need is to optimized the process is to move HU from a logical warehouse to another using movement type 311 and HU, or using another easy way.
Do you have suggestions or an opinion about what we should do?
Is this the only standard SAP procedure to implement the transfer stock?
