If you exceed that, SAP will push the data to another section to the right of the current section. This will preclude you from putting all the data on one physical page if you print the reports. So if you have a lead column, 12 months across and a year to date total, they all have to fit within 253 characters to make it on one page. I've done it, and it gives you about 14 for each of the 13 columns plus 40 or so for the lead column. The lines shown in between the columns count. - Lou
