Hi As the others have said, changes for customising are to be done in the development config client and changes for the development objects like screens, ABAP code, etc, in the dev system client used for client-independent objects. Discuss with your Basis team. These changes are saved i transports. The QA and Prod clients are set as protected against such changes. Following is the standard system change procedure: a)In the dev test client, config transports are copied from the dev config client; test data is created based on the changes or copied from prod or QA client; tested to ensure the changes are correct to a basic level. b)Then both dev/config transports are moved to the QA system/client (usually by the Basis team). c)Changes are further tested using the business scenarios by the developer/configurer. Then the business clients like HR or Payroll team performs UAT and signs off the changes. d)Change Management procedures are followed to ensure the changes are in sync for the related systems. Any impacts to the business units and employees are also managed by the Change Management team and the business clients. d)Changes are moved to prod system/client. e)In the prod environment, the developer/configurer will perform sanity check and advise the business unit/s. f)The business areas and the employees will be able to use the changed system. They along with the developer/configurer will also monitor the change impacts. Hope this helps Regards, JG | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
