Hi experts,
We're using SAP R/3E 4.7 w/ DB2 9.5, Win 2003 64-bit. We do have our Full DB backup on tape (compressed), logs included scheduled on a daily basis, every 8pm (DB13 ) on our DEV, QAS and Production Servers.
We encountered intermittent unknown errors verifying the tapes (db2ckbkp). Failed to verify media header . Cannot continue.
We have also tried from db2 command:
db2 backup db <sid> online to "\\.\tape0" compress without prompting
Backup successful. But when we tried to verify it, db2ckbkp error: reading from file \\.\tape0.. data does not exist. <EOF>
We then setup test server, a clone, with the same configuration & settings as that of our production server and we're able to restore NT Full system backed up from Production server. We've tried restoring on the same test machine the Full Online database backup (DB13) from tape using the following command: dB2 restore db <dbsid> from \\.\tape0 with 8 buffers buffer 16 but to no avail.
Any suggestions on how to restore online backup from tape drive successfully?
