Subject: LWOP not working

Hi

Suggested steps:

1) Import the employee's data to test system/client.

2) To test with a temporary change in a prod schema, I have used following strategy:

2.a) Copy the schemas to another temp Z schema. This is for every schema including the top one.
2.b) For example to test with a temp change in XT00, copy X000 as ZZX0 and XT00 as ZZT0.
2.c)In ZZX0 repeat the line COPY XT00 as COPY ZZT0 and comment out COPY XT00

2.d) If you want to change a pcr in XT00 for testing, say X010, copy it as ZZX0 and change ZZX0 as you need.
2.e)Where XT00 is calling rule X010, repeat the line and comment out the X010 line and in the repeated line change the pcr used as ZZX0.

3) In the sub schema XAL0, include a test rule say ZTS1 to do as below:
NUM=TSAU0
PRINT

4).Call this rule in the schema using
ACTIO ZTS1

5) In that pay period you are referring to, keep only this abs type LWOP and no other absences.

6) Using the temp top schema Run payroll with log. In the sub schema XT00->function PAB - check what are the outputs.

7) Display the log for the test rule ZTS1 and see what is the value for TSAU0 - this is the number of hrs for unpaid leave.

TSAU0 is used in pcr XPPF and sub pcr''s to reduce the partial pay factor w/t's /801 to /816. This is filled with the hrs calculated in function PAB. This function uses the absence config - counting rules, counting classes, V_T554C, based on the grouping for the employee in the relevant split period. The splits are indicated in RT and IT.

If you need, you should refer to your books and on-line help. Context sensitive help is availble in most PCR's and schemas, for each function, operation used in a schema or PCR.

Hope you have been able to understand the long explanation and hope it helps.

Regards, JG
