SAPGui is just a presentation tool, kinda like an old IBM 3270 dumb terminal. It does not have direct access to any of the SAP database tables except when it is connected to the R/3 system. The database tables reside on the DB server which is normally on a totally separate, and secure system which you may or may not have direct access to.

Correct, I haven't used SAP before, but I found SAPGui and wanted to know if I could link that to Access, but the information wasn't what I was looking for or R/3 to a standalone database (Access) was also what I was thinking, but we don't have MS SQL Server. Is there no hope? |
