Hi Vin, Bbout your point 2, we 're having the same kind of request on our side. After searching, There's no way to create a Substitution (IT2003) through CATS(Regular & Classic). There's also no ESS service for Substitution request. You have to develop your own solution, by creating a specific iview for example. It seems that R/3 transaction CAT6 can create IT2003 from non-SAP time entry system if you feed tables PTEX2003GEN, and PTEX2003SPEC . (you can read program RPTEXTPT documentation for more information). Hope it helps. Michael TRAYE

Hello Experts, We are planning to replace existing time entry system with SAP CATS. However, I have following requirement which I'm not sure if CATS classic or regular can fulfill. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated. 1) In the current time entry system when employee enters time (work hours) they can see his/her work schedule as well as swipe time (employee swipes in/out gate access card, this system is interfaced with current time entry system). For example, suppose an emplyee enters office premise at 7AM then goes for shower, breakfast, etc. Starts work at 8AM and stops working at 4PM then again goes to play, gym etc. and leaves premise at 6PM. So in reality employee works for 8 hours although swipe time 7AM to 6PM shows 11 hours. In the existin, when emplyee enters time he/she can what time he/she enter office premise (swipe time) and how many hours worked. Similary when manager approved time he/she can see both (employee entry/exit time and actual hours worked). 2) While making time entry, emplyee can change his/her work schedule for a day or period i.e. it can update Substitution (IT2003) infotype. Is there standard functionality in ESS focus to Substitutions ? We need to retain these functionality in CATS and ESS/MSS, but I'm not sure if this possible... any input would be highly appreciated.
