Hi ppl,

Thanks a lot for putting your thoughts.
But I really apologize here that it was my silliness, that I was logged in as wrong user, I must be thinking something else that time.

But this thread really helped me clearing some other doubts.

Thanks.

Subject: R3trans -d error

Hi All,

In a dual stack system, when i gave R3trans -d, output of trans.log was like this :

Oracle Client Version: '10.2.0.4.0'
-->oci_initialize (con_hdl=0)
Client NLS settings: AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8
Logon as OPS$-user to get SAPPC4's password
Connecting as /@RC4 on connection 0 (nls_hdl 0) ... (dbsl 700 2504

Nls CharacterSet NationalCharSet C rHpBat

0 UTF8 1 0x000010

Allocating service context handle for con_hdl=0
Allocating server context handle
Attaching to DB Server RC4 (con_hdl=0,svchp=0x80000001010c8a80,srv

Assigning server context 0x80000001010cbc20 to service context 0x8

Allocating user session handle
Starting user session (con_hdl=0,svchp=0x80000001010c8a80,srvhp=0x=0x800

Assigning user session 0x80000001011750f8 to service context 0x800

BEGIN DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO.SET_MODULE (:A0, :A1); END;

BEGIN DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO.SET_CLIENT_INFO (:A0); END;

Now '/@RC4' is connected (con_hdl 0, nls_hdl 0).
ALTER SESSION SET NLS_SORT = BINARY

SELECT USERID, PASSWD FROM SAPUSER WHERE USERID IN (:A0, :A

OCI-call failed with -1=OCI_ERROR
SQL error 942: 'ORA-00942: table or view does not exist'
*** ERROR => ORA-942 when accessing table SAPUSER

Disconnecting from connection 0 ...
Rolling back transaction ...
Closing user session (con_hdl=0,svchp=0x80000001010c8a80,usrhp=0x8

Now I'm disconnected from ORACLE
Try to connect with default password
Connecting as SAPPC4/

Nls CharacterSet NationalCharSet C rHpBat

0 UTF8 1 0x000010

Assigning password to user session 0x80000001011750f8
Starting user session (con_hdl=0,svchp=0x80000001010c8a80,srvhp=0x=0x800

*** ERROR => OCI-call 'OCISessionBegin' failed with rc=1017

4 ETW000 76 0.354885

trans.log: END

Every thing on system is running fine, brbackup , brarchive and all other dba jobs also, that means DATABASE is accessible, then why trans.log showing error?
