Hello,
Is this a fixed order requirement from the customers forecast? I don't use CIR, but I think the MD81 entry has no customer number. You could consider scheduling agreements.
I have though done a quick test by using VTAA and linking the OR and 01 document types together. I think you will have to use a MRP strategy that allows Sales order to consume the CIR or you will double up the requirements. Check to see if it works as I am not an expert in CIR.

The CIR document is SD document type 01 and saved in tables VBAK, VBAP,
VBEP etc
T-code MD81 to create and MD82/MD83 (change /display) take you to same
Sales order screens (on program SAPMV45A)
Question:
Does SAP usually allow conversion of document from one module to another ?
I am looking into SD copy routines but have not found anything suitable
that copy ALL relevant data (header and item level)
So far it only brings in the header level data and fails validation on item
level data as the reference (source document) being the CIR does not have
all SD data
Appreciate your help /suggestions?
