Hi Katherine,
When you talk about this activation being in your "development" client, are
you talking about the client where you configure for transport all the way
to production (sometimes called the "golden" client)? Or is this a DEV
client that is your "sandbox" used for just trying out different things? If
sandbox, then refreshing would not "lose" configuration destined for
production, just configuration done as a trial or for fun.
If you are talking about your golden client, then I would ask why you are
trying to do F.05 in there. Do you allow transactions there?
In any case, it looks like a system refresh is the best way to go.

Subject: Activating and deactivating New GL Ledger in ECC6.0
We have a real problem. In our development client someone activated the New GL and we don't know who. We looked at the change logs and it says a change but not who or when. I just happened to stumble on it when I tried to do an F.05 and it would not let me.
Anyway, we have several issues first how long has it been that way? We are guessing a month by some tables we looking at. Second, we have done many transports and we have not seen it affect our production system but we have many transports that have not moved yet. Should we be concerned about our transports?
Thirdly, how can we exactly deactivate the new gl. We are reading we have to reverse the entries made since the activation. Would deleting the data in tables help instead of reversing.
We need help and as much advise as you can give!!!!! |
