VBOF needs to be run anytime the "change" flag (KSPAE) has been set on the condition records. This will automatically occur when the rate changes on a condition, the validity period of the rebate changes or a rebate is created with the validity start date in the past.
(2) Depending on your rebate agreement, you may suddenly have customers that should be participating in a rebate - I am not sure whether the system will prompt for this situation. You do need to rebuild S136 index and also VBOX. Since VBOX has been updated, you may need to run VBOF so that any outstanding rebates are updated if necessary. Note, if after pricing the invoice, there is no change in rebate values, nothing is posted.
3) Extending the rebate changes the condition validity period and sets the KSPAE flag, so you have to run VBOF to clear the flag.
4) If the KSPAE flag is set, you cannot final settle a rebate, you can do a partial settlement. Depending on your configuration settings, you may wish to execute vbof prior to a partial settlement (since your accruals may not be up-to-date and are insufficient to pay the claim).
