Hi,
If you are recording clock in clock out times of the employee that you can use the dynamic daily work schedule assignment.
Negative time means that the employee is assumed to work as per the planned working hours of his daily work schedule assigned to IT0007 and the deviations are recorded in other time infotypes.
Flexitime can be used if you have core times defined by the organization during which the employee has to be present at work but the limitation is you can define upto 2 core times. Substitutions(IT2003) are used if the employee works at a work schedule other than what is planned.
If you do not have core times and you need to use negative times, you need to understand your business requirement, see if you can bring in some change management and try and look at all possible solutions.
