You might want to look into turning on change documents for the customer hierarchy, then triggering a single-step workflow from the change document to send the email. If you already use change documents and workflow elsewhere in your organization, this would be a feasible option. If not, the configuration and learning curve to get started in these areas would probably make the "cost of entry" too high.

I'm looking for a place to initiate an e-mail message when someone has made a change to the customer hierarchy in SAP (version ECC 5.0). I can not find a user exit or other object in which to incorporate this code. Does anyone have a clue? __.____._
