We have a requirement where our client at present is migrating data from one system for example ITD (E.C.C 6.0) to YTD.(S/4 Hana Version) FYI Both are SAP systems.
Withholding Tax settings in ITD system is Classic Withholding Tax whereas in YTD they have extended withholding Tax settings.
Migration Data team has migrated open items which has withholding tax line items from ITD to YTD and this is done after activating extended withholding tax settings in YTD system. FYI at the time of migrating data from source system i.e. ITD, withholding tax settings is still in classic withholding settings.
My query is it necessary for first converting classical withholding tax to extending withholding tax in ITD (source system) and then migrating data into YTD system which has already extended withholding tax system settings in place.
Please let me know if further information is required from my side.
