Update Repositories(CCMS) BASIS

Purpose

If background dispatching is activated on the corresponding system, the local SCR is automatically updated at every system start. You can also update an SCR at any time. You have the following options:

  • You can update the local SCR (see
    • Updating the Local Repository).
  • You can update the data for the local system in the central repository (see
    • Updating the Central Repository).
  • You can update the data for a subordinate system from the system of the central repository (see
    • Requesting an Update of the Repository).

Mass update for e-mail address fields

Under SU01, there is a field for e-mail address. If your e-mail address will follow the SAP
userid, then you can make use of program RSADRCK7. This works in R/3 Enterprise, although I
am not sure what other versions it works with.

SAP Background Jobs or Update Process Canceled due to Insufficient Swap Space

Symptom

Error messages in the trace files dev_w, where the texts malloc failed, rstg PERM, etc., appears, especially if the background jobs are active with large amounts of data.

Corrective action

Increase the swap space or decrease the R/3 Extended Memory.

If necessary, increase the roll area.

Check if the maximum process size (operating system parameter) is sufficient.
