Ok, I am an SAP student and doing it on IDES. I have created a fiscal year
April to Mar in the month of Jan 2011. All the posting periods are open and
am doing an F-02 for the posting period 10(jan 2011). I have not closed any
periods or carried out any balance forward run.
Now could you tell me where I am going wrong or anything that I have missed
which I need to do to be able to post in F-02 in the month of April 2011.

Hi,
If you open the period to post (and close immediately) you have to run the balance carry forward again.
You can post in the year before. But normally foreseen for taxes, legal changements and we post this in P 14, 15 or 16 because the other balances are reported !
