Hi Fareed
Is your problem a. inability to execute depreciation or b. your need to
delete an asset ? Are you deleting an asset because depreciation is not
running? If so, then it is not a wise idea even if you are on a test system.
Have you created an asset master only without posting an acquisition
transaction?
If you have posted an acquisition, does it show up in the asset explorer (
planned values for the asset will appear with a yellow triangle icon ) ?
Is your posting period in GL accounting open for the period for which you
are running depreciation?
What cost assignment objects have you activated for depreciation run (
usually it will be a cost center )?
Is the cost center assigned to the asset remaining unlocked?
Have you defined document types for Depreciation Run?
Did you try to run RAPOST2000(planned run) for the correct posting period
in sequential order?
Try report RAPOST2001( you can execute it from the same node for executing
depreciation, just below AFAB)
You will get an idea of what went wrong. Correct it and then run
depreciation program.
