It doesn't matter but the best practice is usually to name the credit control area same as company code. If company code is XXXX then credit control area is also XXXX. I have used CCXX where CC equals credit control and the XX represent the last two digits of the company code or currency of the credit control area. It is what is best for the business.

Does anyone have a recommendation on the best naming convention to use when configuring a credit control area?
