first thing that i like to explain you as far as my knowledge in payroll .
you should not change the basic pay and other things in between the month .
and if u want to do so.. do it either at the start of the month or at the
end of the month. because when the payrolls run it will calculate the basic
pay etc as per the latest schedule and the days which effect these records
.. so if u want to change the records in between the month browse the option
retroactive accounting.. so then when u make a change in the salary in the
past it will run the payroll again from the date from which the change
occur. hope u got the answer.

1. In case basic pay & Recurring payment & Deductions change during mid of month, how does split indicator(WPBP) behave? The problem which I am facing during payroll run is, its only picking the latest split.
Example-
Suppose basic pay was 10000 till 10th of month, but from 11th basic pay changes to 20000.
So for the payroll run for that month gives me only the a amount 13333.33(20000*20/30 ) . Instead of giving the cumulative amount (3333.33 + 13333.33) = 16666.66
Similar problem comes in the case of recurring payments and deductions. |
