This date field is only in the report selection parameter. Because the user wants to run the report for a given date. The business case is the sales and profitability for the previous day to be known.
I also have a single value period in selection (mandatory). So the report will not be run for higher set of data.
I would like to know the steps in adding a selection parameter. Whether date or any characteristics.

It is strongly suggested not to add something like dates, or document numbers as Segment Levels (that's what you are asking). That means you will increase segments everyday (even when analytical perspective those segments are similar), and it will affect reporting performance severely.
Should you need to take daily summary, maybe you should use KE24 which shows CE1xxxx, to set subtotals, or filtering there. or create addon report. |
