I believe this is the normal behavior. Since you will not have sufficient stock to complete the order until 8/1 it won't schedule ANY orders until you have stock to cover the ENTIRE remaining balance which you won't until the 100pc receipt is made on 8/1- at which time you will have enough stock to complete the 125 pc balance on this order. The setting to allow multiple deliveries is what caused the system to generate immediate planned order to consume the raw material on hand but it won't split the future orders (that part is an educated guess on my part). And the assembly type is set up as dynamic (type 4) - this is SAP provided Strategy 81 so we did not change it. PP Gurus, any ideas? Is the a minimum lot size for the material? It is also possible, since this is a finished good looking for an assembly, that the Assembly type, in the Assembly Order of the Planning Strategy configuration is set to Static instead of Dynamic. ---------------Original Message--------------- From: aasran Sent: Tuesday, June 15, 2010 5:46 PM Subject: Dynamic processing cumulates future planned orders > We use Strategy 81 to generate the planned orders. One Finished good requires one unit of component. I have component stock of 100 units and another 100 are expected to be received as PReqs on 07/01 and yet another 100 on 08/01. When I create a Sales order for 225 units, it creates a planned Order for 100 today (as expected) but instead of creating a planned order for 100 on 07/01 and the balance of 25 on 08/01, it only creates 125 on 08/01. Am I missing something on the config or is this standard? (I have checked that the sales order allows multiple deliveries.) | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author.
