Hello all,

It might be that SAP systems not (yet) on SAP ABAP or JAVA servers/runtimes are not yet supporting the central management concept, but this might improve in future (i.e. with general integration into sapstartsrv/saphostcontrol).

I assume you refer to this functionality of SAP MMC: "The MMC snap-in uses the SAPControl Web service interface of sapstartsrv (or ISAPControl DCOM interface for releases < 6.40) to control individual SAP application servers and can query LDAP directories (like the Microsoft Active Directory) or SLD for an enterprise wide SAP system landscape."

The error you observe probably has to do with SLD 7.0 not accepting an http header value provided by the library for 'Content-type' (i.e. 'application/xml; charset="utf-8" '). RFC 2616 (HTTP 1.1) requires the unquoted form (i.e. 'application/xml; charset=utf-8'). Please check the logs. As far as I know, SAP SLD is nowadays also accepting the quoted form. Please test with SAP SLD server 7.10 SP5 or higher.

(By the way, please check SAP Note 1434966 if you have not yet done so as it refers to an SAP MMC error which has been fixed with the release of SAP MMC outlined and also provides the link to the SDN page of and for SAP MMC.)

With best regards
Robin

Of course I could add each instance manually by supplying hostname, SID and instance number, but with the latest SAP MC-release there's said to be an easier way: You can access the information of your SLD and get your instances automatically into the SAP MC.
