Hi Sophie, When you say that you changed the parameters in the marking step, and there were no log yet because there was no run yet---- actually you need To understand some basics. 1. During costing run "CK40N", when you execute the step "analysis", you actually have run the costing of the FG. Immediately you get the error log. In this step the actual costing run is done, though not released. 2. Why you need to change parameters in the "marking" step? In marking you actually specifying R/3, that you are now ready to release the costing run, you did on the previous step, "analysis". Here if you change the parameters, you will release something different price of your material as against the result of your costing run in "analysis", which ultimately will update your material master and which ultimately will value your stock of FG. So this can cause a huge effect on your B/S. 3. In the marking step you are actually unlocking the system to allow the flow of values derived at "analysis". And in "release" stage you actually instruct the system to update The material master to update with the value arrived at the "analysis" stage !!!!!!! Regards, ARI

1/ When I was changing the parameter of the Marking step, the system already issued this error message, so there is no run log yet.
2/ The plant 4080 was already assigned to company code CN08 in IMG.
I deleted this costing run, and created another one, and I run it step by step, this time, there is no such error message again, so I think maybe something wrong with my last costing run, but I don't know what was that.
many thanks! best regards Sophie | | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 280, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 | | ARI SAP Accounting Helper
