Reply from hovering_yogi on Jul 18 at 1:56 PM Snowy is right here and Redwood does have this kind of functionality - not sure how keen I am personally on third party schedulers unless you can get some kind of view access to them as part of implementation - if you implement them without everyone having some kind of access to them jobs just appear in your SAP system and you cannot see what's coming so essentially end up maintaining a copy of the rules in the job scheduler in excel etc. which isn't ideal so if you do implement then try and avoid this. But easier surely you can submit your full refresh job on a 5 minute schedule - as part of the program you call check if it can get a successful enqueue and if it can't (because the delta is already running with the lock already active) simply finish with no action. If it can then perform the process you require. No complex scheduling rules required just a simple additional check in the program?

Check Cronacle Redwood or Control-M. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | In the Spotlight Become a blogger at Toolbox.com and share your expertise with the community.
