You could look at the near picking bin strategy where you put away to a fixed bin first and when this is full, the operator will be directed to a bin in the close proximity of the fixed bin.
This strategy assumes that both fixed bin and near bin are in one physical area, whereas I feel your goal is to put away in 2 physical areas.
Only option left then is to activate the user exit and to develop your own logic.

I have two storage types
Pickface (which is non mixed storage but not fixed bin) and Bulk
During Putaway I want SAP to fill ONE bin ONLY in the Pickface storage type, but then Putaway the rest of the Putaway Qty to the Bulk storage type.
As it stands in the Storage type search, for Stock Removal;
If I set the storage type Pickface first, followed by Bulk, the system would in theory take up all the bins in the pickface before it would start to Put them away to bulk. Only when the pickface would have no more bins left would it then move the rest to bulk. This is not what I want. |
