The depreciation start date is controlled by period control(dep method) set in the dep. key used for calculation of dep for a dep. area.
So is the reason why the depreciation start date is defaulted in the asset master.

While creating the asset master we have given capitalization date as 30.4.2017.
Once the asset have posted via t code f-90, in depreciation areas tab we come across ODEP START DATE 01.7.2017 has its taking defaultiy.
Please let me know the reason why its taking default ODEP START DATE as 01.7.2017.
