XDNI where FI consultants create num ranges for customer group.T-CODE OBAR
IS used to assign the customer account group to num ranges.

The No. Ranges for Customer Group is on Client Level.
The two digit No. which you are putting might already be used for other
customer group.
Just go to T-code OBAR and check which intervals are free.
