In SEM you can calculate interest on capital tied up and this applies to fixed assets and working capital but is separate from the FI-AA postings. Otherwise you can calculate and capitalize interest on AuC but again this is not part of the FI-AA postings. If the assets are leased there is standard functionality built into FI-AA for calculating and posting the interest element of the lease payments, but this does not sound like what you are talking about here. Need more infomation.
I have als? checked IAS 16 to see if there is any mention of interest there and there is only mention of interest on AuC being capitalized at the date the asset is brought into use and of interest to an unpaid vendor. So I fail to see where your interest is coming from.

I'm testing interest calculation for fixed assets. As I check in asset explorer (AW01N), planned tab, I see that it is to post an interest amount this fiscal year. However, after running depreciation, I cannot see anything related to the interest amount to be posted to interest account. Because there is few document on this topic, could you please share with me your experience. How to make it post interest to G/L?
