to your question 1) yes you can restrict the posting to go post to a profit
center by blocking the profit center and it will show an error to the user
if they post to this PC.
and to your question 2) if it is an expense/cost GL and a P&L a/c then
obviously you have a cost element for that GL and in Tcode OKB9 you can
assign the profit center against that cost element so that the cost can
flow automatically.
but if it is a Revenue GL we have used a substitution rule in our case to
get the amount posted to that profitcenter automatically.

Hi,
Is it possible to block profit center 999999 in the system? This PC was automatic entry with GL upon payment of MIRO.
How can we set the correct PC if the entry is automatic? There are times that the recognition of forex entry should be charged to a certain business unit/ dept in the company.
Need advice guys.
