Management will not allow the new fiscal year (July 1) to be opened until accounting has closed the current year (FI/CO). Years ago, something negative happened around year-end open/close which resulted in the organization hiring expensive consultants to fix the problem. Therefore, our new year SAP activity is delayed until around July 15 - 25.
Is there a technical reason that might prevent us from having both years open simultaneously? Thank you. |
