Hello,

I think only material / inventory BS accounts can be used as cost elements.

Are you using PCA? If so you could use a derivation rule to link the plant to the profit center for the GL account used.

Alternatively if write-off you mean scrap then use an order reason code for the scrapping movement type, eg 551-->556 that has the plant number as the reference in the reason code.

I have a balance sheet account they want to have a cost element so they can track which plants are using the reserves and write off gl's. I know balance sheet accounts can't have cost elements but is there a way to get them to have cost elements?
