Hello,

Only method is to create a new client and test it. I assume the currency key in the CO settings will not change. I guess you are in a lucky situation that the existing company codes ' 10 currency will become the newer company code's 30 currency type.

You'll see an update in the transaction tables of the new currency types being used.

Regards

Waza

Subject: Changing currency type from 10 to 30 - implications

Hi.

Our company is in production and has transactional history. When the company was originally set up; the currency type in the CO settings was set as 10(company code currency). The company is now expanding to other countries. As the currencies are different; currency type 10 can not be used. What are the implications if I change this setting to 30. The group currency will be the same as the production client. What will happen to transactional history? What is the implications on assets. I have looked at OSS notes 120826; 119428 and 120380. The company meets the requirements to run program ZCHGCTYP. However; what happens to prior transactions on the system?

Thanks
