Hi there
When the Batch Details need to be copied from the legacy, you have to do the following steps
Pre Req
- Org Structure
- Material Master upload with BM indicator
- Extend the locations
Steps
- Create the Batch Creation Program ( there is an Functional Module, get touch with ABAP team they can write the simple Program and can run in the BG and you can get the output in .txt format)
- Prepare the file with Material , Plant , Location, Character Values, Unique Identification number and Qty
- Pass the Material , Plant , Location, Character Values for the Character and unique identification number on (E.g) Batch Text (e.g: AB1, AB2)
- After the Batch is created get the output file with the Material, Plant, Location, Batch Number and add the Qty by the unique identification number and pass this file for inventory upload,,
- Now the system will use the already created batch number (with the already available values in batch) and post the qty
