Subject: Fiscal Year variant and posting periods

Hi

I was under the impression that any fiscal year which does not start on 01 January and also does not end on the subsequent 31 Dec would have to be defined as a non-calendar variant. Please correct me if my perception is incorrect. Likewise, I had the notion that a non-calendar variant essentially uses an year shift indicator ( which is not zero) at least for one posting period since there would be a spillover of a fiscal year into another calendar year or a calendar year spilling over into another fiscal year. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Srinivasreddy , I am not sure of your requirement. Am I spelling your requirement right in saying that your client was using a fiscal year commencing 25 Jan to 24 Jan hitherto and intends to move over to a fiscal year commencing 28 Jan to 27 Jan henceforth ? Do I understand your requirement right?

Regards
