Gurus.
I am sad to see such question on the forum. I am not sure why we, even bother answering them and show them in details at times, when they don't even want to do their part of works. That is to read the guides and notes prior doing the tasks. It is seem that everyone is fast when it comes to asking questions on this and other forums for answers to assist them. Yes, we should assist but not the fundamental questions, such as, mount point or sharing, etc. Sometime, it is frustrating to see questions about looking for details and screenshot of how to do things.
I don't even think the requestor knows the version of os and db required for the installation, or even sp of the os, certified or not, perhaps, the requestor installed onto XP Professional? there are questions, that one should know as admin./consultant to have done their homeworks prior installing or patching any systems....i.e. SAP or Oracle, etc. Would want just run the patch for apple os onto the microsoft os?
So, I am asking all Gurus not to give but to assist them to fish for themselves. it is still the best way to learn them and uderstand them.
