wow....this is getting too much of a dialogs messages here...
First of all, I hoped you did not uninstalled your CI and downgraded to 32 from 64 bit host. If you have done it, reversed it. in addition, you should keep your CI and DI of the same platform as you already found out that your kernel will be updated from CI once DI instance is stand-up.
you could try setup your environment variable in the path:\...\;\usr\sap\...\SYS\exe
make sure point this to your 32 bit kernel and update it with same level as 64 sp but not with the same files from 64 bit kernel as you will not able to run it with 64 on a 32 bit platform.
