Hi,
No, that is not a requirement, but it's an extra safety precaution. The more often you're backing up the logs, the less data will be lost in case of a HW failure.
I think most customers are only doing the log backup once per day, but I know that some of the big customers are doing it several times per day.
So it's basically up to each customer to decide.

i would like to know that is it correct that we need to take redolog back up every 4 to 5 hours daily
