Julie - It's possible that SAP's official position is that it can't be done, because there's no practical way to do it correctly in every single case without flaws. I would suggest you have your ABAP team take a hard look at the cleanup program, figure out what it's doing, and see if they can come up with some way to save and restore the data instead of just purging it. Whatever is holding SAP back might not apply in your particular case. According to Notes 1275149 and 881048 and the Unicode Conversion Guide, personal value lists cannot be migrated during a Unicode conversion and must be recreated in the new system during runtime. I have deleted these entries as recommended using report UMG_F4_CLEANUP and of course the personal help value lists are now all gone. The customer is very unhappy that these are gone. They had over 36000 of these entries and their users depend on them. This is a very big deal to this customer and may affect go-live decision for the Unicode migration if an IT workaround is not found. My questions are: --Has anyone ever encountered a situation where losing these personal lists are not an option or acceptable to the client? --If so did you find a way to retain or otherwise rebuild these entries without resorting to manual entry by the user? Note, this issue is different from the loss of Personal Value Help lists that occur during an upgrade. This is during a Unicode migration not an upgrade. Thanks for your help! --Julie | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 280, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 | | Dave Thornburgh SAP Basis Enthusiast
