Hi,
No, there is not any such standard configuration. However, SAP has provided the standard user exit EXIT_SAPMM07M_001 (Enhancement MBCF0002) which copies automatically the PO item short text description into the goods receipt material document item text. Perhaps, you can use this user exit to cater for your business requirement.
