Hello,
Mvt type 301 is a very simple transaction used to transfer material
directly between two plants with out requiring a PO and presumably
when no delivery costs are involved in scenarios like both plants are
in the same compound or very close distance. As soon as the
transaction is posted, the material is shown in the receiving plant.
it creates a material document and accounting document at the time of
transaction and the material is valuated at the material price of the
issuing plant.
for other purposes like where you want to add transportation cost and
track the material that is in transit, there is another procedure
called stock transfer PO.
