Hi Scott,
Yes this is the one case where you do have two systems with the SAM SID, but
both system should not be active at the same time.
A DR system should never be used as a Sandbox you would be better off having
a separate sandbox system.
Are you using Log Shipping to keep the DR system up-to-date?

Thanks! We have DR server where we copy the production data from time to
time and use that as sandbox system. The combination of SID and HOST is
unique. Can I setup smsy with the same SID in a different hosts?
